Maverick is a 23 month old Standard Schnauzer that graduated from the Neuman K-9 Academy pet dog obedience training program. The program covered off-leash commands such as sit, down, heel, sit + stay, down + stay, recall, and etiquette (no jumping up or barging through doors).     He is training a Standard Schnauzer here. The Miniature Schnauzer is a different breed altogether, and yes, they come in white. The Standard Schnauzer does not: just pepper & salt, and black, sorry.

    very well trained congrats and best of luck if you go into shows
    i want to get a salt or pepper or the nono white ones its horrible that they kill them cause they think its not “show quality” really annoys me how people say to “better the breed” but kill great dogs. i dont think id get the ears cropped or tail docked though

    coosess, make sure you can and are able to handle a standard. They are very strong willed and it takes a firm hand. They are a high energy dog, especially as pups. But they are wonderful, smart, loyal and loving companions. Maverick is beautiful. Mine is pepper/salt also with natural ears.

    Using emotion and …
    Using emotion and emphasis on the release “OKAY!” helps the dog differentiate normal conversation from the release. Also, we return to the dog before releasing them from a sit/down stay to eliminate them from anticipating release or hearing the release word in conversation.
