Good Training and great temperament make the kind of dog you can trust to guard your children and be sweet at the same time. Dobermans can attack the bad guy with incredible force, and still be very sensitive to their handlers. If you want a dog like this, start with a Doberman puppy from our breeding program, or get a trained adult Doberman from us.

my doberman does this natrually linkinfan12, most of them do at least the ones I have owned always have been great guard dogs, they were breed for it, more training just helps them perfect it and know they are good at it.

i have 2 dobes, they are naturally protective. just imagine a 90 pound teacup chihuahua. they are VERY clingy with their owners, therefore are very protective. excellent guardians.

    Dogs dont know …
Dogs dont know english. If you train them to attack by using the word ‘attack’, they will. My gf has a pit and she uses ‘go get’em’. If an Asian man told you to sit in Japanese and you didnt know what it meant, it be them same as telling a dog to sit if he doesnt know what “sit” means.

Can you tell me if you can train a doberman to attack anyone that comes in the house at night or if you are not home. And other than that wait for a word or if you say attack?.

I got my info from a big training company. They’re both v.intelligent breeds but there is a slight difference in how they both react in certain situations. Ive never said anything bout dogs being stupid.. Both are great breeds.

i was asking a question how where your info came from and at the same time makeing a statement about the dobermann breed. im a GSD guy myself but can also say the same thing about GSD’s as i can about dobermanns. just the only difference is, there are a lot more well bred GSD’s around the world then there are dobies.

In your ‘working dog world’ maybe. All the best with your familiar “nerve-bags” and I still dont know what the your point is from my original comment. If it is to pointlessly argue then youve picked the wrong one :-)

I get my info from working with ‘protection dogs’ and am really sorry but I think youve misunderstood me… I was actually saying how intelligent Dobs are… I love GSD just the same but there IS a difference in how they both think. “Junk bags?” Thats a name youve come up with and I strongly dis-associate myself with your statment… Please think before you try and put words in people’s mouths. All the best fellow dog lover :-)

    where are you …
where are you getting your info from?? the fact that dobies are junk nerve bags anymore makes them useless when it comes to working..a dog diveing off a cliff to get a ball is not stupid if you ask the dog…he will only tell you how much he loves his ball…if you ask the one who doesnt, he would probably tell you to go get it.

not a big fan of pits.
But you are right by saying that it is really all in the training.
Ppl should never get a working breed (Doberman) unless the are willing to spend 100% on training.
