@XOLoveIsInTheAirXO I might be a little late but if you’re still trying, you can put a treat in your hand and make a fist,. Then put your fist in front of the dog. At first they will probably try and get the treat out of your fist withe their snout. After a while they should realize that their snout doesn’t work so they should use their paw. They will probably try and use their paw to get the treat out. Reward him if he does use his paw. Then just repeat this as many times as needed.

I’m in love with this trick now. I just taught my Dachshund/Lab mix how to do it yesterday and we’re already moving into High Five. Odd that I can’t get her to stay though.

my dog waz pretty little when i taught him how to do it he waz only 9 weeks old & the first trick i taught him. i also taught him sit, lay down, stay & jump i tried to teach him to roll over but he’s part dachshund and jack russel terrier and its hard on his back

What the are you talking about? I taught my dog how to sit, walk upstairs and walk downstairs in what, 6/7 hours in total? Don’t think all dogs are the same because one you saw is doing it.

@viviroxs98 I know… chihuahuas are assholes… never listen to their owners…. all they care is food. MY sister has one. She taught that dog about 6 months on 1 command, like in the video…. and the dog still doesn’t know how to do that…

I taught my 11 week …
I taught my 11 week old puppy how to shake in less than ten mins. All you do is get a treat, some kibble, or a small toy (something the dog really likes) close your hand around it, make a fist. put it on the floor in front of your dog and she will instinctively paw at it (so long as she can smell it). As soon as she does it give her the reward that’s in your hand or another treat with another hand. I used a clicker as well. Once she does it no problem start adding the word “shake” everytime
