   Well there’s your problem. You CHASED him. That’s what makes him think it’s a game. DON’T CHASE. Bribe them back if you must, but don’t chase them.

   teehee heres …
   teehee heres some advice–carry a treat bag in your pocket. (kibble or something, idk) and whenever your dog goes to far away, say, “_____ come back” and show them the treat. repeat this over and over again in the walk, and slowly fade th treats. thats how were helping roxy, and its working but this video is great too

   we walk her on a 6- …
   we walk her on a 6-foot indestructable leash, but lately we’ve connected two of them so she has more room and gets used to being away from us on the leash and still having to be in the general area.

    hey, can anyone …
    hey, can anyone help me? my german shepard-husky-australian shepard, Roxy, is TERRIBLE off the leash. She was even knicked by a car once! Shes run away at night, up a hill, yadda yadda yadda. But the bad thing is, she the biggest whimp in the world. She scared of everything, even our microwave! If she ever got off the leash and we couldnt find her, shed be toast. We have a pretty big yard, and were considering an electric fence, but the economy isnt so fab. any help?

    My dog will come …
    My dog will come just as long there is nothing else around for him to focus on. But he get s a whiff of something (never mind actually seeing something) like a dog, child, deer, whatever…..and he is gone!
    Snacks dont work. I could have a rare roast beef in my hands but he will still take off.

    Inside I can get the dog to come everytime. never outside. very frustrating!

    i want to do agilty …
    i want to do agilty, but my dog doesnt come ;( she is 2 years old,! AND their were 2 deer in our yard, well not really in our yard next door, my dog saw them and stoodf their i said” khaya come” she looked at me, than took off, i kept calling her name, but she still didnt come! she chased the deer. If the mayor was notified, she would have to be out down =(

    I have tired just …
    I have tired just about everything my dog was a stray I got her about five months ago. I can’t get her to come at all and when she gets loose or if she runs out the door I can never get her back. I just had to run after her for about an hour. I need help I am afraid she is going to get hurt or lost. Please if you can help that would be great.

    Also, this dog of …
    Also, this dog of ours that chases cars is only about 2 yrs old if that, and he’s been doing this for at least a year. He has been hit 3 times, but never got hurt much. His chin bled one time, and once he limped and held his paw up for a week or so, but nothing worse than that. He was back to running around like always and jumping up and down, etc., like he always does, very soon after he got hurt each time. I guess that’s why it didn’t teach him a lesson. Since he still does it. He’s little.

    I need to know how …
    I need to know how to get your dog to stop chasing cars. No houses in our neighborhood have fences (unallowed by the Neighborhood Assoc.) Dogs are let outside w/out a leash & run freely (they stay w/in a 1/2block of home tho)A few dogs near us (now ours too) have the terrible habit of chasing cars (or bikes,motorcycles,joggers etc)Our dog has even been (barely) hit THREE times& still does it!If I happen 2 b out when he does it,I can yell my lungs out but nothing’ll make him stop.WHAT WILL?
